Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity with one of our clients for a Marketing Assistant role based in Washington, District of Columbia. The successful candidate will provide support to the Chief Publications Officer and Senior Director of Publishing, provide committee and meeting support for the department, support the annual meeting publications program, and assist the digital publications team.Responsibilities:
Coordinate logistics for publishing-related events at annual meeting.
Schedule and attend internal and external department-related meetings; coordinates preparation and compilation of meeting materials; coordinate agenda and prepare and distribute meeting notes.
Schedule committee, subcommittee, working group and taskforces meetings and conference calls; coordinate preparation of agendas.
Coordinate logistics for meetings, including committee member notifications.
Coordinate notification of new committee appointees and prepare and disseminate relevant documents to incoming committee members.
Attend meetings and draft minutes; work with relevant staff to compile list of follow-up action items.
Overseeing expense approvals for the Publications Department and reconciling department’s credit cards.
Assisting in the creation and distribution of marketing materials to enhance brand awareness.
Requirements
Proven skills in Campaign Planning and implementation
Exceptional Customer Service abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Strong problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
