The major commitment will be teaching undergraduate courses or supervising laboratory instruction as appropriate to the instructor’s background and the needs of the department. In addition, the instructor is expected to demonstrate interest in improving teaching and learning in the department through other activities. These can include but are not limited to activities such as improving methods for chemistry instruction; mentoring undergraduate students in outreach activities; developing new lecture demonstrations; developing and revising peer evaluation tools. In general, the instructor is expected to interact with other members of the department including faculty, staff, and students, enriching and enhancing the undergraduate education program offered by the Department of Chemistry at Colorado State University. The department provides instruction of both undergraduate and graduate students.
