Position Title: Legal AssistantLocation: Downtown Denver, fully in-office to start, then WFH 1 day/weekEmployment Type: Full-timePractice Area: Commercial LitigationSalary: $70-$90k/yr.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDraft, edit, and produce legal documents, correspondence, and reports using proper grammar, punctuation, and advanced formatting toolsTrack, submit, and maintain attorney and paralegal time records with accuracy and timelinessManage and organize client files, both physical and electronic, ensuring all materials are up-to-date and properly storedMaintain accurate records in electronic systems, including emails and document databasesPrioritize and manage daily workflow to meet deadlines; handle administrative tasks including scheduling meetings, calendar management, and expense processingOpen new matters, conduct conflict checks, and prepare engagement lettersCompile binders, trial notebooks, and other materials as requestedFacilitate document recordings using Simplifile and coordinate court reporting services, meetings, and room bookingsHandle filing and service of documents-electronically or in-person-and ensure follow-up per court proceduresAssist with docketing case deadlines and monitor case calendarsReview and route incoming and outgoing correspondence and pleadingsProvide support with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and other documentationParticipate in team meetings, firm-sponsored events, and support a values-driven office cultureRemain flexible and responsive to changing workloads; take on a variety of assignments as neededKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities RequiredWorking knowledge of legal concepts, procedures, and documentation, typically gained through formal training or equivalent experienceAt least five (5) years of legal administrative experienceStrong command of business English, grammar, punctuation, legal terminology, and formatting of legal documentsAbility to type a minimum of 80 words per minute accuratelyTechnical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF tools, document management software, and timekeeping systemsFamiliarity with eDiscovery platforms, electronic filing through Colorado Courts E-Filing and CM/ECFStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to client service and teamworkHigh level of attention to detail and the ability to identify and solve problems independentlyDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under time-sensitive deadlines with minimal supervisionAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
