United Staffing Associates is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer for a position working with licensed contractor specializing in the installation, repair, and finishing of drywall. This position is full-time, assisting with all phases of the project, alongside a team of licensed drywallers. Projects are primarily within San Luis Obispo County and reliable transportation is necessary for jobsite arrival.
Duties of the Drywall Installer:
Hang drywall panels with precision including aligning, leveling, and securing them to framing or ceilings using appropriate fastening methods.
Apply joint compound and tape to seams, expertly blending surfaces for a smooth and seamless finish.
Patch and repair damaged areas, restoring walls and ceilings to their original glory.
Apply texture to drywall surfaces as needed to achieve aesthetic effects or to match existing textures.
Inspect drywall installations for quality and make necessary adjustments or corrections to achieve desired results.
Keep work areas clean and clear of debris to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements of the Drywall Installer:
Experienced in using drywall tools and equipment.
Strong knowledge of installation methods and best practices.
Ability to accurately measure and cut drywall panels.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow-instructions.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while meeting quality standards.
Reliable transportation.
Anticipated work schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (may vary based on project timelines & scheduling)
