Administrative Assistant Position-Part-time

Miller Event Management, Inc. an industry leader in special event security founded in 1992. We are currently looking for an organized and driven Administrative Assistant to join our growing company to perform a variety of administrative and clerical task. As an Administrative Assistant, you will work in a fast paced environment and assist with a variety of management tasks such as scheduling, data entry, new hire processing, tracking and updating employee required trainings, support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities.

Administrative Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:

Answer and direct phone calls

Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms

Plan and schedule meetings/interviews

Develop and maintain a filing system

Update and maintain office policies and procedures

Maintain Employee Profiles

Tracking and updating employee Trainings

Set up company courtesy shuttle list

Assist staff with Guard Card applications

Maintain shared and individual calendars and schedule appointments

Manage office systems

Manage multiple tasks, prioritizing and delegating work as needed

Candidate must be comfortable both working independently and taking direction

Communicate and interact with co-workers and client

Administrative Assistant Requirements and Qualifications:

High school degree or equivalent; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

Strong written and oral communication skills

Accuracy and attention to detail

Excellent computer and administrative skills

Experience with Word, Excel and Google Drive

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

Experience in social media management

Tact and discretion when dealing with confidential information

Attention to detail and problem solving skills
