I'm looking for someone who is not afraid of hard work and looking to get their foot in the door for a Construction Career. Initially, I have projects coming up and need someone who can follow directions and work with a Journeyman carpenter. This is hard work but if you show yourself to have a good work ethic you will be rewarded. You will need a tool belt, basic hand tools(a list will be provided) and hopefully a skill saw and other tools in line with your experience. You should have very good mechanical aptitude. You will need to present as a professional and be able to work around our clients in a way that promotes their confidence in you. Our job sites are drug free and smoke free. Most importantly you are going to need to have good people skills. If you can not communicate, problem solve and get along with others, please don't reply. If you are the type of person who is an expert on everything with no basis in knowledge, please don’t reply. Ultimately, I am looking for someone who is humble, ready to work and learn. No drama. We would prefer someone who is local.
The minimum skills are as follows;
1. You can read a tape measure and measure accurately.
2. You can execute accurate and clean cuts with a skill saw, chop saw and table saw.
3. You can place material as directed and can use a nail or screw gun to attach.
4. You can get to work on time.
5. Most importantly, you can follow directions.
If you are interested the starting pay is up to $30 per hour. If you show yourself to be capable there is room for advancement.
