MarkLogic Corporation in Redwood City, CA seeks Senior Software Engineer.
Responsibilities: The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, and testing MarkLogic’s highly scalable Enterprise NoSQL Database systems software. Further responsibilities include: implementing new designs, with a focus on high memory performance, high CPU performance, and low latency; setting operation specifications and formulating and analyzing software requirements; analyzing functional requirements of the product and software; collaborating with other departments on project status, proposal, and technical issues; working with other development and test engineers, software architects, product managers, and technical writers to develop applications and tools for the server, propose future projects, and synchronize product requirements; developing multi-threaded and transactional systems that are scalable to multiple operating systems including Linux, Windows, MacOS and CentOS; deploying MarkLogic server on cloud environments like AWS and Azure; executing the release process and publishing on the cloud marketplaces; working through all phases of the Software Development life-cycle; and performing other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in Redwood City, CA.
Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: 18 months of experience in the job offered or related software engineering positions. 18 months of experience designing, developing, testing, and integrating new features and enhancements; 18 months of experience working with data structures, algorithms, networks, and databases using SQL; 18 months of experience working with API and backend development with the use of Java, design patterns, software development cycles, agile development, and scrum processes; 18 months of experience designing and developing REST endpoints with a strong understanding of code architecture and internal data flow; and 18 months of experience working with Spring MVC frameworks and Hibernate.
Rate of Pay: $150K-$180K.
