Bright Saver (BrightSaver.org) is seeking several motivated, self-driven Independent contractors who believe in our mission to make solar energy accessible to everyone, reducing electricity bills and greenhouse gas emissions at the same time. As a nonprofit, we offer free installations and guarantee monthly savings above our subscription fee of $29/month or we will refund our customers.
This is a great role for someone who is connected to networks of people who want lower electricity bills - churches, community organizations, and/or personal networks. As a new nonprofit, we, the cofounders, will be knocking on doors in our target areas looking for customers. There is more for us to do than we have hours in the day, which is where you come in to help us cover more ground.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and engage community members in Concord, Martinez, Bay Point, Pittsburg, Antioch, Brentwood or surrounding areas
Present Bright Saver's mission and free-of-charge solar panels - actually free not there's-a-catch free - emphasizing that customers will save on electricity bills above our subscription fee of $29/month or get a refund. They will also own the panels after 6 years and save even more since they won't be paying our subscription fee.
Qualifications:
No work experience required
Passion for helping communities reduce living expenses while reducing greenhouse gas emissions at the same time
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
No degree required - just a passion for our mission and ability to get customers excited too
Compensation:
$100 per contract signed before 3/17. $50 per contract after 3/17
