About this Job

Seeking a part-time (15-25 hours/week) Business Development Representative (BDR) for a growing national manufacturing company, FoamOrder. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 2-8 hours in the office (Richmond, CA) per week. You will gain experience working on a team developing and qualifying new clients and learning the basics of online sales and marketing. The primary customer will be commercial entities seeking replacement cushion and design solutions (hotels, resorts, apartment buildings, country clubs, etc.)

Primary Responsibilities

Generate customer leads by sending outbound emails on a daily basis

Manage pipeline tracking with the goal of continually improving lead generation performance

Qualify leads through discussions with potential customers

Research and evaluate additional leads/prospects through web research

Utilize various sales software to generate customer outreach

Set up meetings between prospective customers and account executive

Skills you will develop

Sales and deal management

Estimating, analysis, and negotiation

Project management

Qualifications

Strong communication skills via PHONE and email

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills

Proficiency with Hubspot or other CRM software preferred

Some selling or prospecting experience preferred

This position will help expand our efforts to commercial customers like hotels, apartment complexes, resorts, and country clubs. While the company has been in existence for roughly 20 years, the current owner purchased the company from the founder 7 years ago, and is pursuing a new growth path. We currently have <20 employees, and serve customers around the world via our website. We do all of our own manufacturing in Richmond, CA.

Compensation: This is a part-time position with hourly compensation plus a quarterly commission based on performance.
