Part-Time Assistant Property Manager Needed - San Francisco

A local real estate development company is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Property Manager to manage and lease a small group of mixed-use residential/office rental properties located within the Valencia Street corridor. The position reports to the Senior Property Manager and works independently in an office on Valencia Street.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lease residential and office spaces, working with the Sr. Property Manager to set market-rate rents, advertise and show vacant spaces, screen tenants, execute leases, and manage the move-in process. Maintain a high occupancy rate with market rents.

Manage unit turnovers, including walk-throughs, return of deposits, and preparing units for new tenants. Work with the maintenance team or outside vendors to perform needed work on vacant units.

Ensure excellent tenant service by responding to tenant requests/problems in a timely manner and generating work orders directed to vendors or maintenance staff. Follow up with tenants to ensure satisfactory resolution of issues. Ensure there is always 24-hour emergency coverage for the properties.

Conduct periodic inspections of all properties and tenant spaces to ensure compliance with leases and local regulations, and the maintenance of the properties.

Prepare and maintain appropriate tenant records, correspondence, and file notes.

Other duties that may be deemed necessary or requested by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 3 years of property management/leasing experience within the San Francisco market area.

Knowledge of San Francisco rent regulations and policies.

Ability to maintain excellent tenant relations and reduce tenant turnover.

Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to maintain positive relations with tenants, vendors, and staff.

Experience with Yardi preferred.

Experience with Excel and Word is required.

Bilingual English & Spanish is a plus.
