The Imani Community Church (ICC) in Oakland, California is a progressive predominantly African American congregation called and empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve families, communities and the world. ICC is seeking a proficient part-time Church Office Administrator to provide administrative support to the Pastor and ministerial staff as needed. This position will also oversee the daily operations of the church office. The ideal candidate must have a High School Diploma or higher education and five plus years of experience in responsible administrative capacity
Responsibilities
Oversee daily office operations and ensure a welcoming environment.
Manage schedules, appointments, and meetings for Senior Pastor.
Maintain files and systems of record to include efforts too "Green" the church office through use of digital solutions.
Handle human resources functions such as payroll processing and maintaining employee records.
Assist Treasurer with financial operations such as invoice payments, tracking donor contributions and issuing giving statements.
Communicate effectively with ICC members, vendors and community members to address inquiries and resolve issues.
Prepare and produce weekly newsletter and the Annual Report.
Skills
Strong organizational skills, accuracy, attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with members, visitors and the community.
Demonstrated high level proficiency in MS Office Suite of Products
Proficiency in schedule management tools and database management.
Familiarity with human resources processes is a plus.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently
