Cat Hospital of Petaluma is Sonoma County's only Cat exclusive veterinary hospital.
We are currently looking for an experienced veterinary customer service representative.
Candidates should have previous experience in a veterinary health care setting.
CSR must have a strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to follow directions as well as relay detailed instructions to clients and medical personnel.
Meticulous attention to detail required.
An ideal candidate will be skilled at multitasking, be a quick learner and of course, love cats.
Applicants must be able to obtain a controlled substance permit once hired, after a 3 month probationary period. (Requires background check).
Previous veterinary experience required. Previous veterinary front office experience preferred.
Responsibilities ( But not limited to)
Greet clients and their cats upon arrival, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Checking in clients and patients for their appointments and collecting appropriate information for appointments.
Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and confirm upcoming visits.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
Filling prescriptions and providing accurate medication information as needed.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and pet care.
Entering appointment charges and processing payments.
Manage billing and estimate inquiries efficiently.
Assist veterinary staff with animal handling during examinations and procedures.
Provide information on cat health, nutrition, and preventive care to clients.
Cleaning duties as needed.
Collaborate with veterinarians and technicians to ensure quality patient care.
Experience:
At least 1 year experience in a veterinary clinic setting is required.
Experience in a veterinary front office setting preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent
Applicant must be able to obtain a controlled substance permit once hired
Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Meticulous attention to detail required.
A genuine love for cats and commitment to their well-being.
Dependable attendance, Monday -Friday 8am-5pm
Pay range is based on experience.
