Job Summary

This position at All Saints’ is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the

church physical plant and rectory.

This position requires a versatile ‘handyman/woman’ who can perform basic maintenance tasks, handle some tenant inquiries and concerns, and ensure the physical plant's smooth operation

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs:

Conduct routine inspections of the building to identify maintenance and repair needs, including upgrades where necessary.

Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and building repairs as needed.

Perform basic maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Ensure the building's cleanliness, both indoors and outdoors.

Address emergency maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.

Tenant Relations:

Address tenant or meeting requests, inquiries, complaints, and requests in cooperation with Parish Administrator

Occasional staffing of events, taking into consideration the needs of the church and other stakeholders.

Security and Safety:

Ensure the security of the building by monitoring access and reporting any suspicious activities.

Respond to building emergencies, such as floods or power outages, in a timely manner.

Enforce building safety rules and regulations.

Administrative Tasks:

Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and tenant communications.

Order and inventory maintenance supplies and equipment.

Assist in managing tenant leases and renewals.

Vendor Coordination:

Liaise with contractors and vendors for major repairs and renovations.

Obtain quotes and oversee contracted work to ensure quality and timely completion.

Maintain a list of trusted service providers for various maintenance needs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or relevant certifications are a plus.

Proven experience in building maintenance and repair.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Customer service-oriented with a focus on tenant satisfaction.

Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.

Knowledge of safety and security protocols.

Working Conditions:

The position may need to work on occasional weekends or outside of regular business hours as needed for meetings and/or emergencies
