Groceries for Seniors is looking for someone to help us load in the bulk grocery deliveries we receive on Monday and Wednesday mornings. This is a part time position. Person must be on time and available to start work at 7am on workdays. The actual shift timeframe is 7-10:30am, Mondays and Wednesdays. The person we're looking for is someone who could start as early as May 20, 2024. We are a non-profit organization serving San Francisco's low-income Senior community for over 20 years, delivering 1100 bags of nourishing groceries each week, operating out of the basement of Old Saint Mary's Cathedral on California St at Grant Ave in San Francisco.
Interested parties must be able to lift boxes as heavy as 50 lbs, and willing to work in a number of positions as we assemble the day's grocery bags. All Groceries for Seniors employees and volunteers are required to wear a mask while at work. The position pays $18.07 an hour, and you will be offered a free bag of groceries to take home after each shift. Part time employee will need some computer access, as the time sheet you'll fill out each week will require logging in to our payroll site to do so, as well as completing some additional paperwork on-line and viewing/responding to a one-time work conduct training. You will be paid for the time this on boarding requires.
