Mail, Materials & Records Handler II ‐ Extra Help

Working in the Information Systems Department (ISD's) team environment, the Mail, Materials, & Records Handler II, performs various mail, courier, and records warehouse functions such as working with the mail and mail systems, providing courier support, and warehousing and utilizing record-keeping software for the storage and retrieval of files and boxes
What You Bring:
Experience with high-production mail room equipment (Pitney Bowes mail Room Systems is a desirable)
Courier experience specific to classified records, mail, parcels and warehousing
Experience with receiving and retrieving records and files within a records management storage system
The ability to handle varied, multiple-stop, daily courier routes within a specific window of time
Experience working with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
Experience training end users with EDMS scanning is desirable
An understanding of document retention schedules
MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Teams)
Excellent customer service
This position requires a valid driver's license, a clean DMV record, and physical exertion. Candidates will also be required to bend, stoop, reach, lift, carry, and remain standing for extended periods of time.
Please note: This position will be required to have access to secure department facilities and/or view data or work with information systems for these departments. This requires that a more extensive “Security Clearance” be performed, after hire, by the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office.
Temporary, extra-help employees are limited in their employment to a maximum of one calendar year. These employees must be off of work for three months before they can be re-employed on an extra help basis.
