Oaklandia Cafe x Bakery is hiring in Downtown Oakland! We are hiring for customer service +kitchen prep
We provide food for all employees while on shift, and access to a private gym on premises.
NO WORK ON WEEKENDS! We operate Monday-Friday 7am-4pm.
This is a fun and great place to learn and grow!

General Responsibilities/Expectations
-Punctual and on time to shifts is extremely important, we want someone that can show up ready to work.
- Greet customers & encourage them to try our coffees, including those new to them.
- Become knowledgeable about our products
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages.
- Provide customers with product details, learn the Oaklandia menu and can speak to it when asked
- Serve prepared foods, such as scones, cookies, and tarts.
- Prepare cooked foods, such as sandwiches
- General cleaning and upkeep of cafe to foster a clean and safe environment for all customers and staff
Qualifications/Requirements
- Morning person (Required)
- Exceptional customer service, friendly demeanor.
- Thrives in a fast paced environment
- Can keep a clean, organized station even with a line out the door
- Basic math and computer skills
-Ability to use a POS system, read and follow directions on customers orders
-Have great organizational skills, and can communicate clearly to both customers and team members when issues arise
-Can maintain a pleasant demeanor during busy times
- Team player
- CA Food Handlers certificate (required, but can obtain if/when hired)
