Love baked goods? Batter Bakery is looking for retail event staff to join our crew!
We are looking for an outstanding individual to help with part time special event/pop-up and farmers market retail in the East Bay and San Francisco. In addition to stellar customer service skills and attention to display & detail, a willingness to learn our wide range of products is a must. We sell everything from breakfast goods to cookies, seasonal cakes to biscotti, all made with a wide variety of ingredients to meet different dietary preferences and needs.
We are looking for someone who also has a valid drivers license, clean driving record, and is comfortable driving our small cargo van to and from the farmers market and/or events (mini van size, drives like a regular vehicle!). A full Saturday market day would involve pickup of van in West Berkeley, drive to SF, and return van to Berkeley for unload in afternoon. Hours approx 5:45/6am - 3/3:30pm) Our front and center stall brings a weekly stream of regular customers and lively people watching along the Embarcadero.
Hours for other events would vary.
Must be dependable, able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for 6+ hours.
Pay rate - $20-21/hr depending on position + baked goods discount and lots of farmers market trades, plus a wonderful community of food friends & colleagues.
