Cornerstone is a full service restaurant, bar, beer garden and 500 person music venue for live shows. Located in the heart of Berkeley, Cornerstone is the spot for great food, cheer and music. We are actively recruiting qualified candidates to join our team.
BARBACK
Responsibilities:
Keep the bar stocked with everything from liquor and mixers to fruit garnishes and ice.
Change out kegs and ensure draft systems are running smoothly.
Clean and maintain the bar area, including wiping down counters, tables, and chairs.
Assist bartenders during peak hours by bussing dirty glasses and maintaining a tidy workspace.
Contribute to a positive and energetic work environment.
Qualifications:
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks.
Available to work weekends and evenings – nights are our prime time!
FOOD RUNNERS:
Responsibilities:
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables quickly and accurately.
Assist servers with setting up tables and ensuring they are properly equipped for service.
Replenish tableware, napkins, and condiments throughout your shift.
Bus tables and remove dirty dishes after guests have finished their meals.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all safety and sanitation protocols.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Physically able to carry trays of food and beverages.
Available to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
EVENT STAFF
What you'll do:
Assist with guest check-in, registration, and crowd control
Direct attendees to different areas of the venue
Answer questions and provide exceptional customer service
Set up and break down event spaces (may vary by event)
Maintain a clean and organized event environment
