Maker Labs offers fun after school classes with hands-on learning and STEAM activities that allow kids to discover and experiment.
Program Instructors are a temporary position that facilitates our 60 min after-school classes. A perfect Maker Labs Instructor has creativity and excitement to explore hands-on projects with the kids. They provide guidance and structure, but don’t necessarily give all the answers.
Classes range from 10-20 kids, elementary age. 1 hr classes (2 hrs of work)
Instructor Responsibilities
-Providing kids with enough guidance to explore each project
-Maintaining a safe space for kids to express their creativity
-Making sure students uphold their responsibilities in the classroom
-Setting up and cleaning up class
-Taking photos during class
-Offering feedback to supervisor
Hours and Schedule
Program instructors will make around $70 per class for about 2 hours of work including prep time, class time, and clean-up. There are three openings, Mondays at 2:50-3:50, Tuesdays at 2:45-3:45, and Thursdays at 2:50-3:50. These are 8 week classes.
Classes will start ASAP in April
