GATE Academy is an inquiry-based, year-round school for gifted preK-8th graders. We are looking for an engaging instructor that can provide our lower school students with a drama curriculum. Our kids are high ability, exceptionally curious, and motivated to learn. We are searching for a instructor who loves learning, is excited about teaching, likes hands-on projects, is organized, has a positive attitude and strong classroom management skills.
Your role:
Cultivate a learning environment that encourages curiosity and asking questions.
Develop a curriculum that incorporates student cooperation and group work.
Implement curriculum to children grouped by ability, we have 6 groups spanning 9 different grade levels; preK-8th grade
Qualifications:
Experience or formal education in theater arts.
At least 1 year of experience with younger children.
This is a part-time position (6-8 hours total) and pay is $40.00 - $50.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
There is an opportunity to set up and run an afterschool program at GATE as well. Our kids love theater!
