Start Date: January 6th

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM (with an option to extend hours)

Location: The Lake School (Private Non-Profit Preschool)

Pay: $16-20 per hour depending on experience

The Lake School, a private non-profit preschool, is looking for a dedicated Preschool Teacher’s Aide to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to a community-centered school that focuses on fostering creativity and growth in young children.

Job Overview:

The Teacher’s Aide will support our co-teachers in a primary classroom and float between all classrooms during teacher breaks. You will assist with organizing, setting up, facilitating classes, diapering, and helping with snack time. Additionally, you will be part of our daily outdoor and animal care routines, including tending to our bunnies, chickens, and other school animals.

Key Responsibilities:

Support co-teachers in the classroom and help facilitate Play-Based Learning activities

Float between classrooms to cover breaks and assist as needed

Organize and set up learning spaces, snack time, and outdoor activities

Assist with diapering and cleaning

Help care for school animals (bunnies, chickens, birds, etc.)

Participate in team collaboration and planning

Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 ECE units or currently enrolled in an ECE program

At least 3 years of preschool work experience

Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Experience or willingness to care for animals is a plus

Compensation:

Compensation varies based on credentials and experience.
