THUS is seeking an organized, self-motivated Accounting Clerk for our office in Sausalito California. As the Accounting Clerk you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.

Accurately prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.

Prepare bank transactions, general ledger postings and statements.

Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.

Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database.

Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.

Responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas.

Function in accordance with established standards and procedures.

Ultimately, a successful Accounting Clerk will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

Requirements

Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk, preferably 2 or more years.

Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.

Competency in MS Office, accounting software (SAP preferred) and expense report software (Concur preferred).

Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.

Ability to handle sensitive financial details appropriately with confidentiality.

Accuracy and attention to detail

Aptitude for numbers.

Ability to perform digital filing and record keeping tasks.

Data entry and word processing skills.

Well organized.

Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Job Details

This is an independent contractor 1099 position.

This role is part time 20 hours per week with up to 35 hours per week for month end close.

This position is hybrid with 1 day per week required at our offices in Sausalito, CA.

Rate of Pay is $30 to $41 per hour, based on candidate experience.
