We're in search of an experienced and talented General Manager who will be responsible for the overall success of a brand affiliated, locally owned 50-room targeted service hotel in Carlsbad, California. He or she is expected to oversee all aspects of the hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, teambuilding, staff development, sales & marketing, HR, food and beverage, budgeting/forecasting, deliver excellent guest service, drive revenue, maximize profit, ensure quality, to lead and motivate the team. Primary Responsibilities:
-Brand standards compliance and revenue management.
-Develops, recommends, implements, and manages the hotel’s annual budget.
-Creates new programs in response to market conditions and revenue opportunities.
-Protects the hotel’s financial assets by properly administering policies and procedures for handling cash, credit cards, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and all other financial transactions.
-Properly administer policies and procedures for protecting the safety of guests and employees.
-Generates revenue to meet or exceed budget expectations. Works closely with the V.P. of Hotels to develop an effective marketing plan and direct the sales effort.
-Identifies and analyzes competition, both locally and regionally.
-Designs new programs and campaigns to develop additional sales from the various market niches.
-Seize the opportunity for property service transformation by creating & maintaining customer-driven operations, empowering hotel staff to excel in superior customer care and quality products that will lead to maximizing revenue and profitability goals.
-Maintains a high personal visibility throughout the property and throughout the community.
-Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
-Proven track record in the hotel industry demonstrating achievement of outstanding profit and guest service-related goals.
-Excellent planning, organization, and guest services skills.
-Outstanding leadership, communication abilities and an actively engaged management style.
-Experience owning revenue management for the hotel.
-Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Minimum of three years of hotel management or supervisory experience.
-Knowledge of local competition and general industry trends.
-Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
-Demonstrate high core values: integrity, honesty, trust, professionalism, and confidentiality.
-You must be a proficient leader, businessperson and a confident decision-maker.
