WORKER'S COMPENSATION CASE ASSISTANT / LEGAL ASSISTANT (Full-Time)
The ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:
Must have 2 years of workers' compensation experience;
Must have excellent communication skills to converse with clients, carriers, attorneys, doctors' offices;
Must be capable of prioritizing daily responsibilities to ensure all deadlines are met;
Must be professional and work well in a team environment;
Must have the ability to multi-task, utilize critical thinking skills and work in a fast-paced environment;
Must work well with team members and handle large volumes of work;
Must possess excellent communication skills (English and Spanish);
Must possess a high proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat;
Must have experience in the duties listed below;
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Mail parsing in the firm’s cases management software;
Firm calendaring (hearings, depositions, and medical appointments);
Processing of subpoenas;
Medical and med-legal appointment scheduling;
Assisting with the preparation of trial exhibits;
Telephonic screening of potential new clients;
Creating and maintaining client’s medical index;
Front desk coverage;
Experience with Meruscase and Jetfiling is a plus.
