Description Robert Half is collaborating with a prominent real estate development firm in downtown San Diego to fill a critical Staff Accountant position. We specialize in connecting talented professionals with leading organizations, ensuring a seamless match for both parties. This is an immediate contract-to-hire opportunity for a Staff Accountant with Real Estate industry experience. We are seeking someone ideally with industry or Yardi experience. Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounting duties for multifamily properties
Handle fixed assets accounting and depreciation schedules
Prepare and analyze financial statements for various properties
Conduct reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor accounts, and general ledger
Assist with tax preparation, including 1099 reporting
Collaborate with team members on budgeting and forecasting processes
Utilize Yardi software for real estate accounting tasks and data management
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience in the real estate industry
Proficiency in using Yardi software for property management and accounting
Strong understanding of fixed assets accounting principles
Experience with full-cycle accounting for multifamily properties
Knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis
Ability to perform reconciliations accurately and efficiently
Familiarity with tax preparation processes, including 1099 reporting
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
