They are seeking a construction or manufacturing industry related Staff Accountant to join their team on a contract-to-permanent basis. This is a HYBRID position, working 35 hours per week. This position also allows for flexible working hours. We are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join this team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in full-cycle transactional accounting to contribute to our organization's success. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks including accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, daily cash entries, expense reimbursement, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, supporting audits, light clerical work, Excel reporting, and fixed asset tracking.The ideal candidate will have manufacturing or construction experience, comfortable learning a new ERP system, comfortable working a 35 hour per week schedule and assisting with some light office clerical work. Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Process billing and ensure accuracy in invoicing
Record daily cash entries and reconcile bank accounts
Handle expense reimbursement and credit card reconciliations
Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation
Perform light clerical duties and maintain organized records
Generate Excel reports to support financial analysis
Track fixed assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Previous experience in full-cycle transactional accounting
Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
CPA certification or progress towards CPA is a plus
