The Learning Academy of East County is seeking a fully-qualified preschool teacher to fill our 4 year old to 5 year old class teaching position. If interested, this position could also expand to include assisting the school director.

We are looking for that special person who is positive, self-motivated and has the experience and knowledge of this age range to effectively instruct a developmentally appropriate curriculum. You will have the independence to set up your self-contained classroom in the manner which best suits your teaching style and the freedom to implement your curriculum ideas and let your creativity shine!
You will also work closely with the school director in assisting with the directorship duties. If you are not currently an assistant director, we will train you to become one upon completion of an accredited ECE Administration course, if that is a goal you are interested in achieving.
The position is the opening shift: 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Excellent communication skills are a must, as this position requires positive communications with staff and parents on a regular basis.
Position requirements include, but are not limited to, prior to employment:
12 unites ECE courses
Live Scan clearance
State required immunizations and other employment related documents/certificates
Physically capable of lifting 20 pounds and fulfilling other job requirements; supervisory/interactive
Full-time. Very competitive pay. Two weeks paid vacation following probationary period.
