North County contractor hiring a Construction Account Manager/Bookkeeper position. Candidates must have previous construction experience with some accounting background. This position supports the management team. The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic, positive attitude, and be able to work independently. This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday position with flexible hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant, hands-on construction accounting experience required.
Understanding of full-cycle construction accounting, ability to see the big picture.
Knowledge of contracts, lien releases, preliminary notices, subcontractors.
Knowledge of job cost, invoice processing, accounts receivable, change orders, etc.
Support management with biddings, material research, purchase orders.
Knowledge of insurance renewal processes/audits a plus.
Knowledge of progress billings, SOV’s.
Experience with QuickBooks accounting software a plus
Knowledge of accounts payable, processing vendor bills.
Credit card and bank reconciliations.
Coordinate weekly payroll with outside payroll service.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel and Word.
Ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports.
Must be accurate and detail oriented.
Ability to follow directions.
Willingness to support other tasks delegated by management.
