Our Construction Engineering firm specializing in Public Works is seeking a controller to join our team.
The construction controller is responsible for the overall accounting and financial reporting for the company.
This includes; Managing all bank accounts, credit cards, collecting monthly billing, overseeing accounts payable, prepare work in progress reports, manage payroll taxes, workers compensation. Prepare all necessary financial statements, and supporting schedules (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statements), reconciliations and support documentation for exterior auditors. Monitor and adhere to regulatory compliance, including taxes and reporting, etc. Maintain state registrations, business and tax licenses.
Experience in the following preferred:
Strong understanding of Construction Industry Accounting principals
Accrual basis accounting
Prevailing wage & Labor Compliance
Knowledge in Foundation Software & QuickBooks
General Ledger
Communication with Banks & Financial Institutions
