Senior Software Engineer (Pacific Investment Management Company, LLC (PIMCO) – Newport Beach, CA); Multiple positions available. Offered salary of $180,000 to $225,000. Contribute to the overall design and architecture of products. Translate application storyboards and uses cases into functional applications and enhancements. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable, and testable Java code to ensure the best performance for applications. Maintain code quality, organization, and work to introduce automation. Build and operate a service-based in-house cross asset OEMS and automated trading system. Create, innovate, and deliver advanced experience towards the software and technology goals of the company.
Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in commercial Java development. Stated years of experience must include: object-oriented programming and design; programming languages such as Java and SQL; Agile and Scrum methodologies; utilizing Jira and Confluence; and, databases such as NoSQL and MongoDB. Experience may be gained concurrently.
