Data Engineer WhereScape RED/ Snowflake – Los Angeles
Sierra Cybernetics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer / Developer to work for us supporting our Los Angeles Superior Court client.
You should have 4 years experience working as a Data Warehouse Engineer including experience with WhereScape RED automation tools and the ability to design, build, and manage data warehouses, implement fully operational solutions, deliver enterprise data warehouses and data lakes, and design and engineer end-to-end data analytics solutions on Snowflake Data Warehouse.
This is expected to be a 1 year position. Open to US citizens or green card holders only – no sponsored candidates.
This is a remote position. However, you may have to travel on site or to other California Courts or conferences, on rare occasions.
WEST COAST TIME ZONE CANDIDATES PREFERRED
Requirements:
Proficiency in WhereScape RED for data warehouse automation
Expertise in Snowflake's cloud data platform, including data loading, transformation, and querying using Snowflake SQL
Experience with SQL-based development, optimization, and tuning for large-scale data processing
Strong understanding of dimensional modeling concepts
Ability to optimize data pipelines and queries for performance and scalability
Familiarity with Snowflake's features such as virtual warehouses, data sharing, and data governance capabilities
Knowledge of WhereScape scripting language (WSL) for customizing and extending automation processes
Experience with data integration tools and techniques to ingest data from various sources into Snowflake
Understanding of data governance principles and experience implementing data governance frameworks within Snowflake
Ability to implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity within the data warehouse environment
Strong SQL skills for data manipulation, optimization, and performance tuning
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
