Associate Attorney
Rotating between main office in Garden Grove and branch office in South El monte on a weekly basis.
We are a personal injury, criminal defense, civil litigation law firm, practicing in OC and part of LA, California. We are looking for an associate attorney with 1-5 years of either or a combination of : civil litigation/ criminal defense/ personal injury experience to handle personal injury case. Senior partner is an ABOTA member and will train associate to trial case.
Newly admitted attorneys with a desire to learn trial works in business litigation and personal injury are welcome to apply. New attorney will learn practical and real world experience with us, both in and out of the courtroom.
Qualifications:
Attorney in good standing with the California State Bar
Excellent persuasive written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Litigation experience preferred, (but not necessary – we will train)
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
1-5 years experience
Ability To Draft Pleadings
Law and Motion
Research and Writing
Able to Conduct Trials/ or willing to learn Trials
Take and Defend Depositions
Propounding And Responding to Discovery
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze files and documents
Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, and depositions
Establish and maintain settlement and trial preparation dialogues with opposing counsel and parties
Review, analyze, and respond to pleadings filed by opposing parties
Draft letters, legal notices, and pleadings
Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents
Negotiate and prepare settlements
Compensation is competitive, based on experience, and negotiable. Range: from 70K to 90K/yr/ plus performance bonus, 401K, health insurance package.
