POSITION/TITLE
Civil Engineer / Project Manager
Toal Engineering is seeking an experienced professional civil engineer to manage and design civil engineering projects, including management of design staff and exercising responsible charge over project design.
TASKS
Design and preparation of Civil Engineering plans and reports with the assistance of engineering design staff, including grading/drainage plans, erosion control plans, hydrology studies, street/sewer/water/storm drain improvement plans, stormwater quality plans and reports, etc.
Coordination with Land surveyors, architects, structural and geotechnical engineers, and other land development professionals and public agencies.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Registered Civil Engineer in California.
10 years of experience with preparation of civil engineering designs, plans, calculations, and reports, including: grading, drainage, erosion control, sewer/water/storm drain design, improvement plans, retaining wall design, hydrology studies, hydraulic calculations, stormwater quality design/report preparation (WQMP, SWPPP).
Knowledge of and proficiency with land surveying concepts including coordinate geometry.
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and to direct design team members.
Demonstrated ability to interface with clients.
Ability to work with others and function as part of a team.
Willingness to work to meet company objectives.
Ability to work on multiple projects throughout the day.
Strong mathematical skills.
Strong written/verbal communication and report writing skills.
Strong problem solving/analytical skills.
Ability to work within project budget.
Preferred:
QSD/QSP Certification.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
POSITION TYPE, HOURS, AND COMPENSATION
Full time position, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
