Major Gloves and Safety Inc. a leading safety supply manufacturer, is excited to announce an opening for an Administrative office Assistant. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth within a rapidly expanding company in the industry.

We are seeking qualified and ambitious individuals to contribute to the growth of our branch revenue and profitability while delivering exceptional customer service. The role focuses on serving safety equipment vendors, including medical professionals, construction workers, and industrial and commercial building employees. Responsibilities will encompass various branch operational functions, such as customer relations, equipment sales and rentals, showroom displays, and merchandise marketing. Success in this dynamic role sets the stage for advancement to our outside sales team.

The ideal candidate will be a proficient typist with a strong attention to detail. The company relies on this individual to maintain accurate and up-to-date data accessible through the Peachtree Accounting system.

Position hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Responsibilities:

Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards.

Type in data provided directly from customers and sales representatives.

Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures accurately.

Verify data accuracy by comparing it to source documents.

Update existing data as necessary.

Retrieve data from databases or electronic files upon request.

Organize and sort paperwork to ensure data integrity.

Requirements:

Punctuality is essential.

Proven experience as a data entry clerk.

Fast and accurate typing skills; familiarity with touch typing system preferred.

Proficiency in word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).

Working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware, and peripheral devices.

Strong command of English & Spanish, both oral and written, with excellent customer service skills.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent
