GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Production Floor Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing all functions and personnel involved in duties of production including scheduling, delegating work functions and ensuring proper training.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Essential job functions/duties, include, but are not limited to:

▪ Oversee material handling, material grinding, SORS, assembly and janitorial personnel and processes.

▪ Responsible for overseeing housekeeping standards are maintained.

▪ Responsible for support of production work instructions, recommendation and implementation.

▪ Ensures that personnel are properly trained to efficiently perform their job functions.

▪ Coordinate with staffing agency to meet business need.

▪ Provides data to management to control loss and identify areas of improvement.

▪ Oversee first, second and third shifts to assure they are properly staffed and address personnel and quality issues.

▪ Oversee shipping and Receiving and VCM to assure First In First Out (FIFO) is being followed, Inventory is accurate and the areas are organized and kept clean.

▪ Other department related duties as assigned.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

▪ 5+ years of demonstrated skill with increasing responsibilities.

▪ Knowledge of ISO/QS System and related documents.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

▪ Ability to calculate basic math concepts.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

▪ To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Order Processing systems.
