Job Description:
We are looking for a part time Legal Assistant to join our team. This position is located in our Pasadena office. A successful candidate would have experience working directly with an attorney on all aspects of litigation. Must be a Spanish speaker.
Position Responsibilities:
Ability to assist attorneys with propounding and responding to discovery (interrogatories, requests for admissions, and request for production, subpoenas) and motions (preparation of any supporting documents and exhibits, and preparing hearing binders);
File PAGA applications;
File DFEH/CRD complaints for "Right to Sue" letters;
Have client interaction and perform intakes when necessary;
Assist with client needs;
Work as part of a team with all levels of experiences; and
Assist in managing attorney calendars.
Position Requirements:
Interest in Litigation;
High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat;
Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision;
Articulate, organized, and a team player with excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills;
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines; and
Professional appearance, and warm and friendly demeanor.
