Job Title: Lead Litigation Paralegal

Position Overview:

We are hiring a Lead Litigation Paralegal or Secretary with at least 5 years of direct litigation and trial prep experience in plaintiff-side personal injury law. This is a lead-level position working closely with attorneys—not junior staff—and requires the ability to hit the ground running with minimal to no training. Strong organization, communication, and multitasking skills are essential.

Full time employment with regular overtime opportunities. This is primarily an in office role with some future hybrid possibilities based on experience and proficiency.

Key Legal Responsibilities:

Qualified applicants must have hands-on experience with the following tasks:

Drafting and filing civil lawsuits

Drafting and serving subpoenas

Preparing and responding to discovery: Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, Requests for Production, Requests for Admissions

Drafting deposition notices

Coordinating site/vehicle inspections with retained experts

Expert designation and preparing expert job files

Drafting objections to subpoenas and motions to quash

Obtaining medical and billing records from providers

Communicating with defense attorneys and paralegals

Serving discovery and legal documents

Liaising with court clerks and coordinating filings

Preparing Final Status Conference documents and trial binders

Administrative Responsibilities:

Scheduling and calendaring for attorneys and clients

Booking transportation (e.g., Uber) for clients

Setting up and managing Zoom meetings

Coordinating client medical appointments

Client follow-ups and file organization

Managing deadlines, court dates, and internal calendars

General administrative support: scanning, formatting, data entry

Bonus: Experience with Filevine is a major plus.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal or secretary in a plaintiff-side personal injury law firm

Experience at a trial-focused firm; if your previous attorneys did not prepare for and take cases to jury trial, this role may not be the right fit

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment

Experience with Federal filings and PACER is a plus

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
