Our immigration law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record handling a broad range of immigration matters, including family-based petitions, employment visas, asylum cases, and removal proceedings. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication and analytical skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Caseload may include: Adjustment of Status, Motions with the Board of

Immigration Appeals, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, Naturalization, Temporary Protected Status, U Visas, and VAWA

Self-Petitions

Duties and Responsibilities

● Provide legal services in immigration matters for U Visas, VAWA

Self-Petitions and Adjustment of Status applications

● Participate in case review meetings;

● Stay informed of changes in the law impacting clients/cases and participate in

relevant continuing legal education;

● Train and supervise pro bono attorneys, law students, and/or interns/externs.

● Handle other tasks, as requested by the Senior Staff Attorney;

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Law degree from an accredited law school.

2. Fluency in spoken and written Spanish, preferred.

3. One to three (1-3) years of legal experience representing clients in immigration

matters.

4. Excellent organizational, analytical, writing, and editing skills, with strong

attention to detail.

5. Strong interpersonal, cultural humility, and cross-cultural communication skills.

6. Effective collaboration with co-counsel and multidisciplinary professionals in

the provision of legal services.

7. Ability to think strategically and creatively, solve problems, innovate, exercise

initiative, manage multiple tasks/projects involving sensitive information, and

make decisions under pressure, including knowing when to ask for assistance.

8. Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, and willingness to learn

other case management systems.

9. Impeccable integrity, judgment, and discretion.

10.The means and willingness to travel (a driver’s license and regular access to a

vehicle are required). Travel and mileage are reimbursed.
