Maintenance/Construction Manager for West LA Apartment Management Firm

Full Time $60-70K Annual Salary Depending on Experience (see below).
Family-owned and operated West Los Angeles Property Management Firm, 30+ years in business is seeking a friendly, skilled maintenance/construction manager to join our property management team.
The ability for training, growth, and success within the company and a desire for a long-term employment is a must. Most of our team has been with us 10+ years and love the company as they grow alongside our business.
Maintenance Technician & Construction Manager
Responsibilities:
Assist in overseeing a crew of 4-5 laborers for apartment renovations, purchase materials for unit turnovers, and coordinate projects.
Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
Perform routine preventive maintenance
Maintain material and supply inventory
Oversee work performed by outside contractors and vendors as necessary
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 2 years of previous experience as a maintenance technician or construction manager in apartment communities.
2. Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment, and experience managing/scheduling a renovation crew.
3. Ability to handle physical workload, deadlines and detail-oriented.
4. Must have knowledge in all areas of basic apartment maintenance and handyman work such as checking, troubleshooting, and making routine repairs in the following areas of, but not limited to:
(if you do not know ALL of these fields you can receive training but must let us know which you know and do not know well)
Tasks:
- Drywall, Patching, Painting (preferred)
- PLUMBING - (required) - water heater repairs & replacing, shower stems, cartridges & valves, gas leaks, etc.
- Light Electrical - (preferred) replacing plugs, lights, running Romex or lines, checking/replacing breakers.
- Basic Carpentry, Basic Exterior Building Repairs (stucco, siding, roofing (preferred)
- Doors/Closet Doors/Sliding Glass Doors (repair & replacement - preferred).
- Cleaning - Leaving a job or a vacant unit in clean, rent-ready fashion.
Note that this position will involve having a reliable car/truck/van, a valid CA Driver’s License, and your own basic tools, additional tools may be provided as needed.
Locations: Mar Vista, West LA, Inglewood, Culver City, Palms, Mid City

Compensation and Benefits:
Full Time $60-70K Annual Salary Depending on Experience
Annual Performance Reviews with Options for Bonus/Raise
M-F 9-5 Maintenance with emergency calls on occasional Saturdays and Sundays
