Kitchen Manager / Chef Responsibilities

As a kitchen manager or chef, you will play a crucial role in the success of our restaurant. Your responsibilities will revolve around managing and overseeing all aspects of the back of house operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.

Some key responsibilities include:

Managing Labor: As a leader in the kitchen, you will be responsible for scheduling and managing the kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers. You will need to ensure adequate staffing for busy shifts and effectively manage labor costs.

Managing Cost of Goods and Inventory: Another important aspect of your role will be managing the cost of goods and inventory. This includes ordering supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and minimizing waste to keep costs under control.

Maintaining Recipes and Quality Control: Our restaurant prides itself on consistently delivering high-quality dishes to our customers. As a result, you will be responsible for maintaining all recipes and ensuring that they are prepared to our exact specifications. This includes monitoring portion sizes, plating techniques, and overall quality control.

Developing and Training Staff: We believe in investing in our employees and providing them with the necessary training to excel in their roles. As a kitchen manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high standards of performance among your team members.

Creating Weekly Specials: We encourage creativity and innovation in our kitchen, and as such, we are looking for someone who can create weekly specials that will excite our customers and bring something new to the table.

Assisting with Catering Events: Our restaurant also offers catering services, and as a kitchen manager, you will be involved in small catering events. This includes menu planning, preparation, and execution to ensure a successful event.

Maintaining Menu Consistency: While we are open to new ideas and suggestions that can enhance our menu, we are not looking for someone to completely overhaul it. We want someone who can maintain the consistency and quality of our current menu items that our customers have come to expect.

What We Offer

Competitive Salary: This is a salaried position that starts at $75,000 - 85,000 with room for growth based on performance & Talent.

Bonus Structure: We believe in recognizing and rewarding hard work, and as such, we offer a bonus structure based on key performance indicators (KPIs) that will be mutually agreed upon.
