MBM Hospitality is a busy catering company located in Torrance, Ca offering full-service catering for special events, weddings, corporate events all over Los Angeles and Orange County. We are seeking a highly organized & detail-oriented Culinary Operations Coordinator for our Catering Kitchen. This role plays a critical part in maintaining our high standards of service and ensuring every menu detail is executed flawlessly. The ideal candidate has a keen eye to details, would excel in a fast-paced environment, reliable, work well on a team, positive attitude, possess a high sense of professionalism & urgency.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly, meeting food safety and quality standards.

Oversee food preparation, including recipe adherence and portion control for events.

Receive all ordered product and check invoices.

Monitor inventory levels and order kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed.

Assist in overseeing weekly and monthly inventories, and ordering of food and supplies

Check all food and ensure all food goes out to events on time and accurately

Address and resolve kitchen-related issues and emergencies.

Communication and Leadership: Approach all encounters with associates in a  friendly, service-oriented manner and maintain open communication with other departments.

Critical Skills & Experience Requirements

Prior experience in a kitchen

Strong team skills.

Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Knowledge of food and beverage service operations is preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and adapt to changing demands.

Proficiency in kitchen equipment operation and maintenance a plus

Effective communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff

Understanding of inventory management and ordering processes.

Complies with certification requirements as applicable for position to include: Food Handlers

Stable and progressive work history; Strong work ethic

Graduate of an accredited culinary program is a plus but not required
