Job description:
- Oversees all aspects of the restaurant's kitchen, from food preparation to staff management and inventory control. They are responsible for ensuring smooth kitchen operations, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and managing all kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management: Hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling kitchen staff.
Food Preparation & Quality: Overseeing food preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards, and ensuring proper cooking techniques.
Inventory Management: Ordering supplies, managing inventory levels, and minimizing waste.
Food Safety & Sanitation: Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
Budgeting & Cost Control: Managing kitchen expenses, tracking inventory costs, and controlling.
Equipment Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment.
Coordination: Coordinating with other departments, such as front-of-house staff, to ensure timely and efficient food service.
