Chef Team Lead- Los Angeles

Looking to immediately hire a experienced strong chef with legitimate experience to train for team lead chef in my Los Angeles market. If your Culinary school grad thats great, but not necessary, more important someone with some kitchen chops. I am not running cooking school, this is a fast paced, high output production kitchen making thousands of meals a week so i need someone thats up to the challenge.

You must meet the following:

-Bilingual

-has a customer first attitude

-must be a hard worker

-must be reliable

-must have a no job is too big or too small attitude

-does not take shortcuts, does things the right way all the time.

-able to think outside the box and be able to overcome challenges and obstacles of a large shared commercial kitchen.

-understand kitchen math, measurements and recipe conversions

-can adapt and thrive in high pressure situations.

-excellent knife skills.

-experience on all heating elements- grill, flat top, convention oven, tilt skillet, combi oven, etc etc.

-must demonstrate and master all of the major cooking techniques of the kitchen- grilling, braising, saut ing, steaming, roasting.

-Must be able to work weekends.

-Have your act together please, no outside drama or at least have to ability to leave your personal life out of my kitchen.

-You should be in kitchen shape and have the conditioning to work 50 hours a week, bend, lift, carry, be on your feet, deal with heat. It is a kitchen and kitchens are hard work. You will be not be sitting at a desk, this is a hands on chef position.

-understands kitchen safety, is in possession of food handlers certification.

-be a Professional- meaning you come to work ready to work; having knives that are sharp, proper footwear, chef jacket, peelers, etc. Professionals invest in there craft

-does not have a drinking problems that carries into your professional life

-committed to FT work.

I am looking to immediately bring people in as soon as this weekend so if you apply be ready to work. My company partners with a major meal nationwide meal subscription company. I have other locations in New York, Chicago and Austin
