Humboldt Gold Exchange is currently seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Firearm Sales Associate to join our team. This position involves assisting customers in the gun area, facilitating firearm sales, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Any addition knowledge in bullion, jewelry, and coins is highly desired.

Perform the “ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS” as outlined below: Essential Functions (including but not limited to)
-Extensive knowledge and experience with firearms, ammunition, and gun safety
-Provide top-notch customer service by prioritizing the customer’s needs while ensuring honest and transparent transactions.
-Cultivate lasting relationships with customers so they feel welcomed and enjoy returning to the store; from the initial greeting to post-sale follow-up.
-Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form in the English language
-Must be able to use point of sale (POS), calculator, phone system, fax/copier, and computer proficiently
-Must be able to complete internet searches for item valuation, in item pricing, and other research purposes
-Handle firearms transactions safely and in compliance with all laws and store policies
-Maintain accurate records of all transactions
-Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 7 hours per day
-Must be able to sit for one hour per day
-Occasionally repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
-Must be able to bend, stoop, reach and lift. Lifting up to 5 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally, and 75 pounds rarely
-Exposure to cleaning agents
-Attendance and punctuality
QUALIFICATIONS:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Customer Service Experience
-Must be 21 years of age or older (based off California State Law in regards to handgun sales)
-Must be able to pass legally required background check and fingerprint scan done by Eureka Police Department (COE is lawfully required)
