This job is a member of the Payments Automation Team within the Finance Division.

​Responsible for training the testing staff and assisting the Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst in coordination/execution of user acceptance testing efforts for Payments Automation & Revenue Accounting (RAC) processes or changes upstream impacting Payments processes.

What you'll do

Trains test team and executes functional and regression tests based on project requirements.

Performs testing through to implementation and production validation.

Interprets and understands Business Requirements.

Creates test scripts based on requirements and reviews with Payments QA Analyst to ensure testability of requirements.

Executes test scripts and reports all defects.

Communicates test status, including progress, defects, risk and potential impacts; raises issues or concerns when necessary.

Supports Payments QA and Product owner as subject matter expert support for testing, analyzing and troubleshooting data.

Supports Product owner with unit testing and provides feedback.

Ability to work flexible hours.

All you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

High School diploma or GED equivalency or equivalent training/experience

Experience creating test plans and scripts

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

Postman testing

SQL, testing services and APIs

Microsoft Office Suite including Strong Excel experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

Basic understanding of American Airlines Web Functionality

Demonstrated understanding of testing techniques and agile methodology

Sound business knowledge

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Attention to detail

Flexibility to learn and adapt to changes in procedures and work environment

Motivated team player, who demonstrates initiative, follow-through, and sound business judgment

Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
