Accounting Manager

Role Summary The Accounting Manager manages the collection, maintenance, and presentation of financial data, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. Responsibilities include maintaining accounting records, completing bi-weekly payroll, maintaining accounting records, facilitating audits. The role involves account receivable (A/R) and payables management (A/P). The ideal candidate is a seasoned accounting professional with a background in managing financial operations and a solid understanding of GAAP standards and internal controls. What You’ll Do

Support all aspects of finance, contracts, and business development, proposals for company.

Total financial and contractual responsibility for TRAX (non-profit) division of

Company.

Support all aspects of 12+ prime contracts for Army and other Government subcontracts (invoices, cash collection, financial support for contracts, and contract negotiations).

Reconciliations through preparing and issuing monthly financial statements and bank account reconciliations.

Submission of Federal and State Taxes.

Negotiate lease agreements and contractor agreements.

Develop, design, and implement policies, procedures, and work processes to ensure transactions are recorded in the accounting system.

Manage overall finance function to support C-Suite, from budgeting process, monthly closing, financial reporting, cash flow, and financial forecast.

Update and monitor the company budget, ensuring we stay within the specified budget while tracking expenses.

Reconcile corporate credit card accounts and compile all pertinent documentation (receipts, contracts, payment confirmations, etc.)

Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll.

Issue payments to vendors and employees (travel reimbursements).

Be the point of contact for clients with accounting inquiries.

Support on finance ad hoc projects.

What We'd Like You To Have

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.

Hold an accounting designation (CPA or CMA).

Experience with QuickBooks preferred.

7+ years of accounting experience.

Proficient understanding of Accounting Rules and GAAP.

Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Organizational skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.

Ability to maintain confidential records.

Prioritizing and organizational skills are a must.

Highly skilled in Excel.
