This individual will be responsible for following all safety and quality guidelines while maintaining a satisfactory production level. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.The Laboratory Assistant position will be responsible for providing basic assistance to the housekeeping and operation of the business.ENTRY LEVEL POSITIONResponsibilitiesAbout you:

Ensure that all tasks are performed within time restraints and according to relevant quality and safety policies and procedures.

Assist with sample receipt, sort and layout.

Complete necessary sample preparation traceability information as required.

Perform and document calculations as required when conducting analytical preparations.

Assist with sample retention and disposal procedures.

Assist with receipt of supplies and reagents, completing necessary traceability information as required.

Assist with storage and disposal of client samples.

Monitor inventory levels for supplies and reagents.

Assist with the preparation of simple solvents for test methods.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office and Office 365.

Must behave in accordance with ALS core values.

Ability to use (or learn to use) Laboratory Information Management System.

High school diploma/GED is required.

0+ years of laboratory is experience.

Physical Demands:

Routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move heavier loads with assistance.

Must be able to stand, bend, push, pull, stoop and crouch up to 50% of the time while performing the duties of this position.

Perform housekeeping duties as required.

Must be able to work on computer while sitting for up to 8 hours per day.
