We are seeking an accountant for a fast-growing tax and accounting firm. This is mostly a telecommuter position. Will assist the owner with a variety of financial and tax tasks. This is an ideal position for someone interested in increasing their tax and accounting knowledge at a rapid pace by working with a variety of companies and industries alongside a seasoned professional.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Onboard bookkeeping and payroll clients
- Prepare tax returns with increasing complexities
- Prepare resolution paperwork for a variety of tax problems for clients including audits
- Assist in obtaining needed items from clients
- Assist the accounting team by gathering data from clients and pulling financial reports
- Meet with new clients to determine needs
Ideal Candidate will be:

- Customer service-focused
- Excellent with follow-through
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Fast learner and able to work alone as well as with a team
- Prior experience as entry entry-level tax preparer
- Prior experience assisting with small business bookkeeping
- Associate or Bachelor in Accounting
- Must be able to pass a background check
