Job Title: Administrative Assistant I, II

Department: Tribal Police

What We Are Seeking: A self-motivated professional, who is an organizational wizard, responsible for answering phones, greeting and assisting visitors to the Tribal Police Department, completing accurate check requests, coordinating important meetings, and maintaining digital filing systems.

Additional Responsibilities: You will also dispatch appropriate emergency services providers including CVTC Tribal Police Officers, EMS fire personnel and equipment. You will also be responsible to process, safeguard and classify evidence as the Evidence Custodian and serving as the Coordinator for the Tribal Access Program, completing fingerprinting and searching and entering data into the system.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

1 to 3 years of administrative experience including working on complex tasks, special projects and supporting one or more managers is required.

Successful completion of evidence processing, emergency services dispatching; TAP’s Coordinator is required upon hire.

Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and leadership skills; including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain cooperative relationships and work successfully as a member of a team.

Excellent time management, problem-solving and organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet sometimes competing deadlines.

Superb verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to function well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and embrace new or updated software and the ability to accurately type 50 + WPM.

A Highschool Diploma or GED is required.

Qualified applicants may be asked to complete a skills demonstration.

Certificates and Licenses Required: A valid Alaska Driver’s license is required for this position and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy.

Background Check: This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check as a condition of employment.
