Job InformationOpen to the general public and any current Municipal employee. This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage. DEPARTMENT: Office of Equity and JusticeHOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.LOCATION: 632 W 6th AvenueExample of DutiesThe Junior Admin Officer in the Office of Equal opportunity (OEO) will perform administrative support services and specialized duties for the OEO director and office. Specific responsibilities include clerical functions such as scheduling meetings, answering phones, preparing correspondences, scanning and filing documents, updating the offices files and website etc. Assist in the daily development, implementation and monitoring of federal programs. The position is responsible for interpreting federal regulations, analyzing data, assisting the Director in trainings, site-visits and evaluating bids/proposal documents. Perform other duties as assigned. Individuals currently serving as a member in good standing in the National Guard or the organized military reserves who wish to be considered for interview preference as permitted in Municipal Personnel Rules 3.30.031 D must attach proof of current service to the application. Proof of current service can be shown by submission of a statement of service which, at a minimum, shows full name, date of birth, Social Security Number, date service began, branch of service, rank, name of command providing the information, and unit of assignment. The statement of service must be on a form or letterhead of the individual’s command organization and show the name, signature, title and contact information for the signer providing the statement of service.
